Can I shorten the length from 54 inches? A:According to the manufacturer, this item comes with 2 6" and 2 12" rods, which can be combined for a variety of lengths. Jessica

How long are each of the rods and do all 3 of them have to be used? A:The mini pendant comes with a total of two twelve inch and two 6 inch rods. You could use which ever combo works for you. unfortunetly you would not be able to get seventeen inches, but you could get eighteen. Rolando
